These timber Classification Cards provide an easy to handle and attractive resource with which the child can engage. Classification Nomenclature cards identify and name the object, plant or animal the child is exploring and learning about. Each part is isolated which draws their attention to that particular part and not to superfluous details. The set allows the child to learn to distinguish, classify and develop language associated with the Parts of a Leaf. Each timber tablet identifies, in colour, a specific leaf part. As the child explores they are able to identify the names of each part represented and choose a timber label to add to the unlabelled timber tablet and may use the Control Set, which includes the plant part and its name, to check their work.
