This beautifully crafted Plywood cabinet is filled with 5 insect puzzles; Butterfly, Lady Bug, Wasp, Dragonfly & Fly. The puzzles range from 3 to 6 pieces each. While children challenge their physical and cognitive abilities exploring the puzzles, they also satisfy their desire for order and foster a sense of responsibility for managing the packing away and storing of their activities when they are finished.
Each puzzle is attractive to the child. The knobs are designed to allow the child to to easily access each piece while developing their fine motor skills in preparation for holding things with their fingers. Through their piece selections, children are engaging pattern recognition, spatial awareness and sequencing and as children explore each puzzle, they are also absorbing the images the puzzle creates, some of these images will be familiar while others may not. These images provide a basis for discussion and can inspire further investigations and enhance language development.
The range of Insect Puzzles can be used to separate and identify different parts of each animal and show how each of the Insects are the same and how they are different.
